Privacy

1. What we store

• Worker: name, trade, years of experience, languages with levels, home country, where you live now, when you can start, whether you need housing, certificates, driving licence categories, which countries you want to work in, e-mail, phone, note, site language, registration date.
• Employer – company: company name, organisation number, contact person, e-mail, phone, country, location, which workers are needed, job description and requirements (shown publicly), note. For Norwegian companies: the result of the automatic check in the Brønnøysund Register (name, status).
• Employer – private person: name, address, phone, e-mail, country, what you are looking for. No organisation number.
• Everyone: e-mail confirmation links and a log of requests with your YES / NO answers and timestamps. The IP address is used only against abuse and is not stored with the record.

2. What we use it for

Only so that employer and worker can get in touch. We do not sell data, do not use it for advertising and do not pass it on for other purposes. Legal basis: your consent at registration (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)) and steps at your request before a contract (b).

3. Who sees the worker's profile

• The anonymous profile (trade, experience, languages with levels, home country, desired countries, start, certificates, driving categories, housing need) is shown publicly on the site to everyone — like a notice board. Name, e-mail, phone and exact location are not there and never will be.
• The list is shown 20 at a time with “show more”; bulk scraping is slowed by a request limit per address and by profiles having no sequential numbers.
• An anonymous list of employers is shown publicly in the same way: country, place, which workers and how many, company or private person. Company name, contact details and a private person's address are not shown.
• The employer's e-mail confirmation and personal archive link are used only for the “Interested” action — so that a request comes from a real, confirmed employer.
• Showing the anonymous profile to approved employers is necessary for the service itself (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)) – otherwise no employer could find you. At registration you confirm this with your consent.

4. When contact details are shared

• The employer clicks “Interested” in the archive and confirms the request from their own e-mail – so nobody can impersonate another company.
• You receive an e-mail in your language: who is asking (company or private person), country, location, message, whether the company was checked in the register and whether the sender's e-mail matches the company. The e-mail always reminds you that a real employer never asks for money, and has a link to report a suspicious employer.
• Only when you click YES does the employer receive your name, e-mail, phone and profile data, and you receive the employer's contact details. This is the only moment contact details leave Jobbnord.
• NO or silence – nothing is shared. The employer only learns that the candidate declined.
• The worker can click “Interested” on an employer themselves: the employer receives the anonymous profile and message (no name or contact details) and answers YES or NO. Contact details are exchanged only after YES. Limit: 3 such requests per day.
• Limits: a company up to 20 requests per day, a private person up to 3. One request per candidate.

5. How we check employers

• Norwegian organisation numbers are checked automatically in the Brønnøysund Register. Companies that are not found, bankrupt or being wound up cannot register.
• Swedish, Danish and Finnish companies: the number format is checked automatically and the archive opens after our manual approval – normally within one working day.
• Private persons: e-mail confirmation and Turnstile, access is automatic. The operator is informed about every new private employer (sees name, phone and address) and can block them. The candidate is told clearly in the e-mail that this is a private person, not a company, and that the work must be registered officially under that country's rules.
• The sender's e-mail domain is compared with the company name. A mismatch is flagged to the candidate as “not verified that this person represents the company”.
• After reports from two different candidates the employer is blocked automatically and their open requests are cancelled.
• Phone, experience and certificates are self-declared; we do not verify them. The employer checks documents themselves, as with any hiring.

6. Hide or delete your profile

Every e-mail to a worker contains the link “Hide or delete your profile”. With it you can hide the profile (employers do not see it), show it again or delete it permanently – immediately, without a password. On deletion personal data is removed and open requests are cancelled. Employers and everyone else: write from the e-mail address you registered with to hello@jobbnord.no – we delete within 30 days and confirm. Employers who already received your contact details are asked to delete them.

7. How long we keep data

As long as the profile is active. If there is no activity for 12 months (registration, confirmation, request, answer), the record is anonymised automatically. The request log is kept as long as the related profiles. Visit statistics for 12 months.

8. Where and through whom

Server in the EU (Hetzner, Finland). E-mails are sent through the e-mail provider Resend – like any mail server, it sees the recipient's address and the content. Forms are protected against bots by Cloudflare Turnstile. Only the operator has access to the database. We do not pass data to third parties.

9. Cookies and statistics

No tracking cookies. Your language choice is stored only in your browser. We count visits ourselves, without external services: page, language, referring domain, campaign tag and a one-day code that cannot be turned back into your IP address. Cloudflare Turnstile is always on in all forms – it does not use tracking cookies, but receives your IP and browser data for the check (see Cloudflare's privacy notice).

10. E-mails to companies

Companies in Norway, Sweden and Finland may receive one short introduction e-mail at the publicly listed company address (public register or company website). Every e-mail has an unsubscribe link – after unsubscribing we do not write again. We do not send such e-mails to Danish companies. We store the address, sending time, whether the e-mail was opened, and unsubscribes.

11. Your rights

Access, correction, deletion, restriction and withdrawal of consent – at any time, by e-mail to hello@jobbnord.no. You can complain to Datatilsynet (Norway) or to the data protection authority of your own country.

12. What we are not

Not a staffing agency and not labour hire. You conclude the employment contract directly with the employer under the law of the employer's country – Norway, Sweden, Denmark or Finland. Workers never pay Jobbnord anything.
